Today, on Memorial Day, TWU Local 571 honors the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication gave us the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy every single day.
Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or a day off work — it is a time to remember those who never made it home, the families who carried the weight of that loss, and the generations of service members who stood willing to give everything for something greater than themselves.
Because of their sacrifice, we have the right to stand together, speak freely, organize, and fight for the working people of this nation. Their legacy reminds us that unity, service, and brotherhood matter.
Today we pause to reflect, honor, and remember.
