Negotiation Preparation Meeting in Washington, D.C. and Jacket Distribution Reminder
Adam Fernandez shares details about a contract negotiation preparation meeting in Washington, D.C., and reminds members about union jacket distribution at the hall.
Good afternoon Brothers and Sisters,
Tonight, I’ll be traveling to Washington, D.C. alongside Vivian Lewis as we prepare to meet with our International representatives, along with the Presidents of Local 575 and Local 570, tomorrow morning at the TWU International offices. This meeting marks an important step as we gear up for formal contract negotiations with the company, scheduled to begin in DFW on July 16th and 17th.
This is a moment I’ve been looking forward to for a long time—being in the room to ensure that our voices and priorities are represented. The QR survey many of you completed will play a critical role in shaping our focus at the table. Your input matters. Staying informed and engaged throughout this process is essential, as this upcoming CBA will impact the next 3 to 5 years of our careers.
I’ll be back Friday morning and will be walking the floor to provide updates on how preparations are progressing.
Reminders for Tomorrow
- Jacket distribution will take place at the Union Hall from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00 PM–5:00 PM
- Location: 2720 S River Rd, Suite 210, Des Plaines, IL 60018
- We have a full range of sizes available, including a new shipment of small and medium
Additionally, union business will be conducted at the office as we work to finalize the transition that was expected to be completed by April 30th. Once this is resolved, we’ll be able to move forward with upcoming events, including Six Flags, which is currently pending confirmation.
Stay safe, stay engaged, and more updates will be coming soon.
