Union Pushes Back on INFOR Transition Restrictions

August 10, 2026

The Union challenged temporary CS restrictions tied to the INFOR rollout and will monitor staffing, overtime, attendance issues, and the impact on affected members.

Good afternoon, Brothers and Sisters,

Julius and I just concluded a conference call with the company regarding the transition to INFOR and the temporary restrictions that have been placed on our members beginning Saturday, August 15.

Let me be very clear: your Union does not agree with the way these restrictions are being implemented.

During today's meeting, the company expressed concerns based on what they have experienced at other stations that went through similar INFOR transitions. The company acknowledged that there have been significant challenges with these rollouts and stated that they are preparing for the worst-case scenario.

If the system is not ready to go Saturday, the company plans to print schedules and have a manual backup process in place. They also stated that they will evaluate the operation Saturday and, if things are going well, they may remove the restrictions.

While we appreciate the company having a backup plan, our position remains the same: there are better ways to manage a system transition than placing restrictions on our members and creating unnecessary attendance and staffing issues.

CS Restrictions

We made it clear that we have serious concerns about restricting CSs over the weekend.

We have members who are currently out of town and had previously made verbal arrangements to CSO their days. Those members are now being placed in a difficult position through no fault of their own.

The company has agreed to review situations like these case by case.

If you are currently out of town and are affected by these restrictions, contact the Union immediately.

We will do everything within our ability to assist you and make sure your situation is brought forward.

Members can also find CS-related forms and information on our Member Resources page.

Preparing for the INFOR Rollout

We have seen firsthand what happens when a new system is rolled out without proper preparation.

When we transitioned from the old Envoy system to Roster App, we experienced major operational challenges. We do not want to see our members paying the price for problems associated with a company system transition.

The Union's position is simple: INFOR is the company's system, and the company is responsible for making sure the operation is properly staffed and prepared for its implementation.

If the company already anticipates potential problems, then the answer should not automatically be to restrict members from using CSs.

There are other solutions that could be explored, including additional staffing, better preparation, temporary operational support, and utilizing available manpower appropriately.

Instead, we are concerned that these restrictions could create the exact problems the company is trying to prevent:

  • Increased call-offs
  • Mandatory overtime
  • Staffing shortages
  • Additional pressure on the employees who show up to work

We have made our concerns very clear to the company, and we will continue to push back.

We will not sit back and allow our members to become the safety net for problems created by a system implementation.

What We Will Be Monitoring

Over the coming days and throughout the rollout, your Union will be closely monitoring:

  • INFOR implementation
  • Staffing levels
  • Mandatory overtime
  • CS restrictions
  • Attendance issues resulting from the rollout

If problems develop, we will address them with the company immediately.

Most importantly, we will be paying close attention to any attendance issues that may result from these restrictions.

Our members should not be penalized because of decisions made during the implementation of a company system.

We will continue to fight for reasonable solutions, transparency, and fairness.

This Union will always put our members first.

We will keep everyone informed as we receive additional information.

If you are directly impacted by these restrictions, reach out to your Union. Do not assume you are on your own.
