Executive Board Roundtable: Winter Operations, INFOR, Staffing & Safety

November 3, 2026 · 7:47 PM

Updates from the Executive Board roundtable covering winter operations, staffing, INFOR, CCQs, bus service, bagroom concerns, and required Access Control training.

Good evening, brothers and sisters,

Yesterday, the Executive Board met with the company for our monthly roundtable meeting. We brought forward several ongoing concerns from the membership and pushed for answers, accountability, and solutions.

Here are some important updates:

Winter Plan / Deicing

We addressed last winter’s concerns, including CCQ pulling, staffing, lunch breaks, shift changes, and management interference. Although we were unable to reach agreement on several issues, we will be closely monitoring the operation during snow events to ensure members' rights and safety are protected.

Rossi and Air Check will be making more frequent visits during inclement weather, particularly in the bagroom. We also requested additional salt stations near the gates for immediate access.

CCQs

We formally requested an updated CCQ list and continue pushing for additional CCQ training classes so members can utilize the self-demotion window. We will continue addressing ongoing CCQ violations.

Scheduling / Staffing

We raised concerns about PM and weekend staffing, mandatory overtime, midnight assignments, and critical areas being left short while other areas are overstaffed.

The company will now have personnel monitoring late flights in the virtual tower to ensure midnight clerks are assigned appropriately and help reduce unnecessary mandatory overtime.

We also addressed the delays with bid implementation and vacation entries. Upper management will be monitoring these issues moving forward.

INFOR

This remains one of our biggest concerns. We presented examples involving shift trades, picking up shifts, overtime sign-ups, points, and vacation balances.

The company acknowledged that local administration lacks many of the tools previously available in Roster App and that approximately 2,000 tickets are backlogged. We are pushing for local administration to regain access and resolve issues locally rather than relying on an overloaded ticket system.

If you experience problems, send us screenshots and details so we can continue bringing these issues forward.

Bus Service / Bagroom

We addressed ongoing ABM bus concerns, including buses leaving members behind. The company will follow up directly with ABM regarding service and scheduling.

We also raised serious concerns about bagroom staffing, members working with fewer than two people in a pier, and the new baggage scanning procedures. These issues have also been brought directly to the baggage director by our Chief of Station, Rafael Melon, and CC Quadri.

If these conditions continue, let us know immediately.

Company Updates

  • New badge-scanning procedures for operating company vehicles will be implemented over the next month.
  • Flight schedules are expected to increase to approximately 300 daily flights in December and January.
  • Additional gate changes are being considered for the winter.
  • The company is reviewing additional breakroom space with the recent gate additions.

Important: Access Control Training

All members must complete the Access Control lesson by November 18. Failure to complete it may result in badge revocation and the inability to clock in.

Please make this a priority.

CS restrictions will go into effect after tomorrow.

Brothers and Sisters,

We continue to bring your concerns directly to the company. Raising an issue is only the first step. We expect answers, accountability, and meaningful changes.

Your Executive Board will continue holding the company accountable and fighting for better working conditions, proper staffing, safety, and enforcement of our contract.

MEMBERS FIRST. ALWAYS.
