Extreme Heat Safety and Hydration Support Continues
TWU Local 571 is providing hydration supplies and monitoring workplace conditions as another week of extreme heat approaches.
Good morning, Brothers and Sisters,
The upcoming week is expected to bring another stretch of extreme heat, with temperatures climbing above 90°. Your health and safety remain our top priority.
To help keep our members hydrated, TWU Local 571 will once again be distributing Zero Sugar Gatorade and Propel hydration packets throughout the week while supplies last.
Please remember:
- Stay hydrated before, during, and after your shift.
- Take your contractual rest periods to cool down.
- Watch for signs of heat exhaustion and look out for your fellow coworkers.
The company has a responsibility to provide drinking water. If water is not being made readily available in your work area, notify a Union Representative immediately. I will have our Union Representatives monitoring conditions throughout the week to ensure our members are working in a safe environment.
