Veterans Committee Participates in Chicago Stand Down Event
Members of the Veterans Committee and Executive Board volunteered at the Chicago Stand Down event serving homeless and at-risk veterans.
What's an amazing day with the TWU Local 571 Veterans Committee and Members of the Executive Board at the Chicago Stand Down for Homeless Veterans.
We had the opportunity to pass out goods, serve food, and interact and hear stories from so many veterans. A humbling experience to see so many vendors and volunteers come together to help these outstanding veterans in need.
This was my first time and I can personally say I believe we did our late brother Jesus Martinez proud today.
