Six Additional Union Stewards Complete Training
TWU Local 571 welcomed six additional Union Stewards after completing training focused on representation, the CBA, Local Bylaws, and leadership development.
Good afternoon, Brothers and Sisters,
Today, we proudly welcomed six more Union Stewards to the TWU Local 571 steward team:
- Al-Mou'affa, Shammakh
- Davis, Charley
- Ortiz, Darlin
- Connelly, Michael
- Mayor, Bryan
- Fleming, Timothy
Each steward completed comprehensive training covering our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Local Bylaws, TWU Constitution, representation responsibilities, and real-world workplace scenarios they may encounter while advocating for our members.
These newly trained stewards are now prepared to serve the membership, enforce our contract, protect workers' rights, and ensure every member has access to strong union representation when it is needed most.
The strength of our union is built through education, preparation, and leadership development. As we continue to modernize TWU Local 571, we remain committed to investing in our stewards by providing ongoing training, resources, and support so they can effectively represent our members with integrity, professionalism, accountability, and solidarity.
A strong steward network is essential to a strong local. These brothers and sisters will play a critical role in protecting our contract, defending due process, addressing workplace concerns, and serving as a direct link between the membership and union leadership.
Please join us in congratulating our newest stewards as they begin this important responsibility.
Together, we will continue building a stronger, more educated, and more engaged TWU Local 571.
