Union update on INFOR payroll concerns, Winter Bid progress, upcoming Union training, formal negotiations, and 401(k) sign-up assistance.
Good afternoon, brothers and sisters,
Some important updates for everyone.
This morning, I sent an email to upper management requesting an immediate update regarding the ongoing issues with the INFOR system. I highlighted the continuous problems we are seeing and, more importantly, the concerns that you, our members, have been bringing directly to us through your messages and conversations.
While there are many issues that need to be addressed, payroll remains the most pressing concern. I emphasized to the company the importance of ensuring that when payroll closes on Monday, every member is paid correctly on Friday.
Let me be very clear: a company-issued system should never be the reason a member has to wait for their earned wages or spend days trying to get a payroll error corrected. Our members work hard for every dollar they earn, and we expect the company to have the systems, staffing, communication, and support in place to make sure everyone is paid accurately and on time.
I am expecting a response from upper management by early tomorrow afternoon. We will continue to push for answers and, more importantly, solutions.
If you are experiencing any issues with your schedule, hours, pay, or anything else related to payroll, it is extremely important that you notify one of your Union representatives and/or go directly to the Payroll Department. We need these issues documented so that we can continue holding the company accountable.

Please do not assume that an issue will automatically correct itself. If something is wrong, report it.
Members with questions about contract language can review the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Winter Bid
I received confirmation today that the Winter Bid schedule has been uploaded. The company should begin assigning the shifts over the next couple of days. We will continue monitoring the process to make sure everything moves forward properly.
A Busy Week for Your Union
This week, your Executive Board and Union Representatives have a very busy schedule, but every meeting and every training session has the same purpose: to better represent and protect our membership.
Tuesday: Illinois State Conference
We will be attending the Illinois State Conference meeting with International Committee Chair Pawa. During this meeting, we will be voting on candidates to support in the upcoming November elections.
It has been a great experience learning more about the political side of our Union and having the opportunity to speak directly with candidates and hear their plans and ambitions to help move the labor movement forward.
Political engagement matters because the decisions made outside our workplace can directly impact working people, our contracts, our benefits, and our future.
Wednesday & Thursday: International Training
Our Executive Board members and all Union Representatives will be attending International training.
We continue to invest in our representatives because you deserve representatives who are educated, prepared, and equipped with every resource available to them.
We will continue utilizing the resources provided by our International Union to strengthen our knowledge, improve our representation, and make sure we are prepared to address the issues you bring forward.
Thursday & Friday: Formal Negotiations in DFW
Vice President Julius Cajigas and I will be in DFW for the next session of formal negotiations with the company.
As I mentioned last week, we are anticipating responses from the company on several of the articles and proposals that we have pushed forward.
This is an important part of the process, and we want to hear from you. Questions, concerns, and suggestions from the membership are always welcome. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us before we leave.
The Union cannot negotiate effectively without the involvement and support of the membership. Your experiences, concerns, and ideas help shape the issues we bring to the table.
Once we return from DFW, we will provide the membership with an update on the progress made during this formal session.
401(k) Sign-Up: Friday
Also on Friday, we will have our next 401(k) Sign-Up Event with Vice President Mark from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
