Union Update on INFOR, Safety, Negotiations, Events, Winter Bid, and Bus Service

Good evening brothers and sisters,

I wanted to provide everyone with some updates and, most importantly, remind everyone that your Union is continuing to fight for you every single day. We know there have been a lot of frustrations with INFOR, safety issues, scheduling, transportation, and the many changes we have all been dealing with. We appreciate everyone’s patience, communication, and support as we continue working through these issues together.

INFOR

We are still waiting for an update from the company regarding the Billboard activation. It remains down, and employees are still unable to post shifts on the Billboard. We will continue pushing for this to be corrected.

Today, Vice President Julius Cajigas worked directly with the Payroll and Attendance teams to get a large number of members’ payroll issues corrected.

If you see a red or unauthorized notation on your schedule, please stop by the Payroll Office and speak with the team so the issue can be corrected and you receive your full pay.

Vacations have started populating correctly in INFOR. Points and sick time are still not completely accurate, and we are continuing to monitor these issues and push for corrections.

Members with questions about contract language can review the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Safety

We have seen an increase in disciplinary action related to safety and procedural violations. Please be mindful that the company is monitoring arrival readiness, including the required safety huddle that must be completed in front of the green cone.

Please make sure you are wearing your wireless headset. If you are having an issue with your headset, report it to your supervisor immediately so there is documentation that the equipment is not functioning properly.

We have also seen increased monitoring of push speed. This has been a major topic of discussion with the Safety team throughout the week regarding what is considered the proper speed for pushing an aircraft.

Our message is simple: Safety comes first.

If you are pushing an aircraft, take your time and operate at a safe speed. This is not a race. Our objective is to safely push the aircraft and make sure everyone goes home safely.

Wing walkers must be in their proper positions and actively monitoring the push.

The speed bumps between the H & K tunnel continue to be a safety concern. We are reporting this issue every single day. We have provided the company with information and pictures demonstrating why these speed bumps create an additional safety hazard, and we will continue pushing until the concern is properly addressed.

Contract Negotiations

Julius and I will be heading to Dallas next week for another negotiation session with company officials.

We are hopeful that the company is prepared to sit down with us and begin meaningful discussions on the articles that remain open as we continue moving negotiations forward.

The company is still providing us with information regarding compensation. Once we have all of the necessary information, we will be able to build the compensation package we intend to present to the company.

Basketball Tournament

Registration is still open for the basketball tournament through September 1.

Winter Bid

I am still awaiting final confirmation regarding when the Winter Bid will appear in INFOR.

I am hoping to have a specific date in the coming days and will share that information with everyone as soon as it is confirmed.

ABM Bus Service

We have seen major concerns over the past several weeks with ABM bus service.

I have had several conversations with upper management regarding the continued missed service to our side by G19. We understand how frustrating it is when transportation does not show up, especially when it impacts your ability to get to and from work.

If you experience a delay, missed run, or any other issue with the bus service, please reach out to me immediately.

We need to document these incidents so we can continue reporting them directly to the company and hold them accountable for providing reliable transportation.

Solidarity Matters

Brothers and sisters, there is a lot happening right now, but I want everyone to remember something:

We are making progress because we are standing together.

The Union cannot fix every problem overnight, but we can promise that we will continue showing up, asking the questions, demanding answers, and fighting for the membership.

Please continue communicating with us. Continue bringing your concerns forward. Continue looking out for one another.

When one member has an issue, we all have an issue. When we stand together, we are stronger.
