Winter Bid, Vacation Bid, Safety & Membership Updates
Updates on the Winter Bid upload, vacation bidding, new Local 571 members, ongoing safety work, and member assistance this week.
Good evening, brothers and sisters,
Some quick updates.
Winter Bid
Local admin and the Union have requested since last week for the remainder of the bid to be uploaded into the system so our members can go about their business of setting up their coming months.
The process with Infor is for headquarters to upload the bid into the system and local administration to assign it to all employees. We were told this would happen last week.
After speaking to local admin today, their timeline is now tomorrow, latest Thursday. I will be at work all day tomorrow and will personally go check on the status.
Vacation Bid
An error with a vacation bid starting at week number 25 was discovered this morning. We advised local admin of the issue after several members also reached out. It has now been corrected and uploaded the correct way, and we will begin bidding this Friday.
Please check your email for vacation weeks and bid times.
Please check the amount of vacation weeks you are showing. If you believe there is an error, we must address it immediately, not after you bid.
I will be putting something together tomorrow to put out to explain the exact way vacation works and examples of when it starts after you bid.
Welcoming New Members
Today, Executive Board members Vivian Lewis and Luis Sanchez welcomed another 40+ members into TWU Local 571.
Safety Team
The TWU Local 571 safety team was out and about today documenting safety concerns at gates and documenting equipment that needs to be fixed or replaced.
If you need assistance with safety or want to report a safety issue, please do not hesitate to reach out to them. They are always hard at work.
