Working Women’s Committee Participates in Chicago Community Service Day
The TWU Local 571 Working Women’s Committee participated in a day of community service across Chicago, supporting local organizations and neighborhoods.
Good afternoon brothers and sisters,
The TWU Local 571 Working Women's Committee was out in full force today.
The following is from Chair of the committee, Vivian Lewis.
Today, we started our day at UCAN Chicago, a historic organization dedicated to empowering youth who have experienced trauma and helping them become successful adults.
From there, we ventured out to two of Chicago’s Camp City locations—one at Sacramento & Grand and another at Central Park & Homan—before ending our day at the 14th Police District.
Giving back to the community is a beautiful thing. Every stop was a reminder that when we come together to serve, support, and uplift one another, we help build a stronger, safer, and more connected Chicago. I’m grateful to have been a part of this meaningful day of service. ❤️
